5 Comic Book Character Casting Choices That Shocked The World As Much As Batfleck.
3 Of 6 Anne Hathaway As Catwoman
After Halle Berry’s version of Catwoman jaded so many people on the character, choosing the girl from The Princess Diaries to play Catwoman felt like throwing salt on the wound. She's skinny, not fit. Most people said she could never pass off as a fighting menace. Anne Hathaway is a beautiful woman, but nobody felt she had the right kind of sexy to play the ferociously feline female villain either. But she pulled it off so well that most people fell more and more in love with her portrayal of the character by the end of the movie. She was smooth. She showed a side of Catwoman's conflicting emotions. She knew how to be scandalous and manipulative. She was believable when she showed her moves. She was just as fun to watch as Bane and Batman. She was the best Catwoman ever, bar none
4 of 6 Daniel Craig As James Bond
James Bond is an iconic character known for having been recast more than any other character that has appeared on film. Bond fans take their love for the ageless secret agent very seriously, and they had valid reasons for initially rejecting the new choice for their beloved legend. Daniel Craig is blonde and he doesn't even have chest hair! How can you have Bond without his infamous chest hair? Some fans went so far as to describe him as "downright ugly". Websites were even made to boycott Casino Royale. To much dismay, Casino Royale took on a new feel and became known to many as possibly the best Bond movie, and Craig as the best Bond. He breathed new life to the role. He made Bond real. Whether you're old school and prefer the Connery brand or if you still can't let go of Pierce Brosnan's Bond role, there’s no denying that Craig gave a quality performance and has no doubt surprised many people.
